The Kai Ken breed is very loyal to their family and generally like children, but may be somewhat reserved with strangers. They are very intelligent, proud, dignified and fairly easy to train and respond best to positive training methods.
Kimba is very friendly and loveable and will be a life long companion. She loves to be near humans, gets excited to go on long walks and has a keen sense of her surroundings. She communicates readily with her humans through various vocal sounds. The Kai Ken part of Kimba brings out the natural hunter in her. Some Kais’ have been known to swim or climb trees in pursuit of their prey.
Kimba displays appropriate respect and behavior with other dogs. She will be very devoted to her family and will require a fair amount of love and attention in order to be happy. Appropriate exercise is important to maintain her mental and physical health. She would be best in a home with well-behaved children, nine and over, who are respectful of pets.
