Vera is a pint sized bundle of elegance with large doe eyes that sparkle with intelligence. She is a short coat Chihuahua that we think might have some Whippit and Dachshund as part of her heritage. Her lovely fawn colored soft coat and princess attitude is very charming and endearing.
She was a bit shy at first, but seems to have found her voice and is settling in with the rest of the kennel family. Vera loves being with people and would probably prefer to be carried around as opposed to walking. However, she walks well on a leash as long as the leash is attached to a harness rather than just a collar. She steps out in a very prim and proud way that says “I am a princess”.
Although a bit shy with cats, she appears to be accepting of them. Vera would probably be fine with cats or other animals if appropriately introduced. She would also appreciate daily walks and play time with her owner.
Vera would do best in a home with children seven or older who are respectful of pets. She may be shy with new situations and would thrive in a quiet environment.
