Gypsie
Gypsie

Gypsie is the most awesome dog. We already have spoiled her rotten, but she deserves it. We have finally taught her to play with some toys and she is learning to retrieve them to us. She is so loving and obedient. When left at home alone she has found a spot up on our hill where she can see the street. She sits there and watches for us and when we come back she runs to meet us. You people did a wonderful job training her and preparing her for adoption. We would not trade her for anything. She is definitely part of the family.
Oh yes, she has also become very protective of us, growling and barking at anyone who comes to the door until we assure her that they are okay and welcome here. What a love!

Muffin
Gypsie

My folks decided that I need a playmate, so Mom found a dog at Living Free and I went with them to make sure she was okay. She is just a kid, so I will have to show her "the ropes". I have to admit that she is pretty cutes (see photo, above). We named her "Muffin", which I think goes very well with my name (very important).
Muffin and Merlin     Muffin is very quiet and just wants to be loved (she loves to have her belly rubbed — what dog doesn't?).
Mom says, "Old age is realizing you will never own all the dogs you want." We're sure glad we came along in time for our folks.
Love, Merlin (above, right, with Muffin)
Queenie
Queenie

THANK YOU ALL so very much for rescuing my little Queenie (formerly Cherish). She and Buddy are the joys of my life and I just wanted to let you know she is doing very well and is very happy. This little girl walked into my home and went straight to Queen of the House, completely bypassed Princess and became Queen of her domain.
Although we have had "potty" issues and "stay" issues, she is a quick learner. She uses Pee Pads, but I'm also trying to train her to go on the patio, or while we are on a walk. That is taking longer than I anticipated, but by golly, she has gone tinkle on a couple of our walks.
What a little joy she is to have around. She an my 8-month old cat, Buddy have become best-buds. They now share her bed, which I bought in a larger size in hopes this would happen. They play constantly. If she isn't chasing him down the hall, he is chasing her up the hall. Buddy is a little jealous that Queenie gets to go outside on the patio, but he allows me to hold him so he can look out the screen door and over the block wall.
God Bless you for all you do for our furry friends, Sharon, Queenie and Buddy

Yum Yum
Yum Yum

I am so blessed to have located this precious kitty ... You all do such a wonderful job for these gorgeous animals and I know that Yum Yum felt your love and devotion. She is a great addition to our family and Mollie NOW loves her. They run and play like they had been together forever. My Buster (my cat I  had put down) will always hold a very special place in my heart, but little Yum Yum has been able help me see that there still can be smiles and happiness and joy when you adopt a special creature... I knew we had a connection and I knew she was aware that she was going to be so loved...I could go on and on about how much we love her and enjoy her, but I think you get the message. Thanks to you our family is now complete ... until the next one needs a good home.
Duke

Thank you so much for allowing us to adopt Duke (formerly "Bluke"). He had a bit of an edge to him when he first came home, and a bit of sadness. This has softened and faded and he is blossoming in the calmness of our home. We all (humans and animals alike) treat each other with respect, affection and playfulness. Duke has relaxed and fit right in.
Duke is very alert, and a friend of ours has suggested that he has some sight hound in him, in addition to his Labrador genes. Duke loves to look out our front windows and watch all the goings on. He gets along well with our two girl cats, after taking a few weeks to get to know each other. He will even lie down back-to-back with them, just like he does with our new tortoise, "Beau" (Beau and Duke are pictured above in the yard). He is very affectionate and loves to have any part of him scratched and petted. Duke is very well behaved, is quick to learn and walks beautifully on a leash. He also loves to travel with us and we've taken him out to the high desert several times.
It is an honor to be Duke's new parents — we adore him! Please keep up the good work and thank you for what you do. We will be back to visit.

Morgun
Morgun

Sorry its taken so long to write, but me and my new dad have been pretty busy. It's really cool cuz he likes the water just like me. So we get to play in the pool, at this thing called the "ocean" (its REALLY big) and even the lake. Did you guys know that tennis balls float??? Daddy laughs at me sometimes and calls me his "little otter". Toulouse and friends I don't know what that is, but it makes him laugh so it must be good.
Oh, yeah, and he's always bragging about me to his friends. It's kind of embarassng...
Thank you for taking such good care of me till Dad could find me; it really made a big difference. Everybody's always telling us how happy and well adjusted I am.
I miss you guys but I love my new family. I've even pretty much taken over Dad's bed (hope he doesn't notice!). Keep up the good work.
Love, Morgun
Toulouse
buster
Toulouse and friends

Thought you might like to know how well Toulouse isgetting along fine with her new brothers. Beau is still the big boss and makes sure everyone knows it, but even he can't get between her and any food that is around. We used to have to keep Beau from eating Tux's food, now we have to keep Toulouse from vacuuming up hers and going after both of theirs. There is never a crumb left anywhere.. she cleans her bowl inside and out and then checks the other 2 for leftovers.
Toulouse is really playful and keeps the guys on their toes...She gets running on the hardwood floor and can't stop or turn, so that's kind of funny to watch. Some- times there's no room for people on the sofa after dinner when they quiet down!
Buster
buster

Buster (formerly Spooner) is very happy to be reunited with his old roomy – Queenie (formerly Cherish). She cleans his face every evening. They sleep together, play together and Buster has all but stopped growling when Buddy, (the cat), hops on the bed at night. They have all been playing and eating together as well.
Buster does not like using the harness when walking, so we've reverted back to his collar. He doesn't pull on the leash, but is a little gentleman, walking close to my right leg. He doesn't bark when he see's another dog on our walks, but Queenie makes up for it. In fact, I think I've only heard Buster bark once or twice, when someone walked by HIS front door. He's very protective of his new home.
Thank you all for giving me this opportunity to share in the lives of Queenie and Buster. They are certainly becoming the joys of my life along with their brother, Buddy.
God Bless you all, Sharon

Taylor
Taylor

Thanks so much for everything you did for Taylor and bringing him back to health. He misses you all very much, but loves his new home with us.
Taylor's thinks his new brothers Max and Sully are great (but he's not so sure about those "pesky" cats). He's playing "fetch" every day and cuddling up in a nice soft lap every night.
Please say "Hi" to all his friends for him, hopefully he will come up with us to visit you in the near lfuture.
Love, Jaime and Robert
