Look Where They Are Now

A New Home For Blossom And Kraig

Clyde (L) and Bonnie (R) with (clockwise from left) Leilanie, Richard, Jennifer, Onalyssa,
and Dohnovan

My name is Bonnie and my friend’s name is Clyde and we used to be Blossom and Kraig when we lived at Living Free. I guess the name change is okay as we have become used to it now.

We went to live with Jennifer and Richard Wiegand on December 23, 2009. We were so excited to have a new home that also included three children: Dohnovan, age 4, Leilanie, age 10, and Onalyssa, age 16.

This was an exciting time for us and everything was so new, we didn’t know quite how to act. At first our home was in the garage and the big back yard where we could run and play. We loved the kids because they played games with us like fetch. When Clyde gets the ball he just carries it around and won’t give it back.

Sometimes the kids like to take us for walks and we try really hard to walk the way we should on the leash. I guess we could use a little help with some of our training. I like to protect and look out for my little buddy Dohnovan and Clyde has become best friends with Leilanie.

As first, Mom and Dad had to be gone a lot during the day so we stood guard and watched and waited for them to come home. Now, Mom is home more and we soon learned what we could do and how to behave in the house. That earned us a ticket to come inside and be part of the family. We love being inside, playing games with the kids and watching television.

Then one day, a furry orange tabby came around and decided to stay. We were not quite sure about this addition to the family, but we decided we like him. His name is Mr. Friskie and he is really nice to us, as long as we don’t get too friendly. From that day on our family just kept getting bigger, because now we have two exchange students living with us. Their names are David and Edison and they are from Korea and China. Then came grandma Sha who moved in with her Jack Russell Terrier whose name is Junior. He is a mighty handful, but we have fun playing with him too.

One of the things we love best is when Dad takes us hiking in the nearby mountains. It is really fun having Dad all to ourselves, but sometimes Dohnovan comes along too and that is okay by us. When it is hot, we get to go to the beach and play in the water. We really love to chase the waves and those funny things that burrow in the sand.

We try to be good watch dogs and protect our family. We love them very much and are very grateful that they chose us to be part of their family.
