Meet Our "Team of Gold" Volunteer of the Year Award Winners 2008

Ralph Semprevio
& Linda Williams

Ralph is a recent retiree and full time RV/Camper who found Living Free while passing through the area on his way to spend the summer in Mammoth Lakes. After a facility tour and meeting the animals Ralph was hooked. He moved into Lake Hemet campground for summer and fall and now volunteers several days a week, walking the Dogs, and helping out where needed. He says it's a perfect scenario for someone who loves animals and spending time in the mountains. In addition to volunteering, Ralph is participating in the formation of an Idyllwild Red Cross disaster response team as well as biking, hiking, and jogging in the Idyllwild and Garner Valley area.

In Linda's own words, "I have happily shared my life with everything from 2 skunks, a chinchilla, Cats, Dogs and horses. For the past 5 years, I have been working with Dog rescue groups. When we moved from Georgia to California, I was delighted to find Living Free was ten minutes from the house. It's been a wonderful

experience getting to know the animals and terrific staff. The animals are so well cared for and loved. If you have any extra time, volunteering is a rewarding way to spend it. You can come to this special place, leave your problems behind, open your heart and discover peace in the moments you spend with these animals."
