Living Free is home to rescued dogs, cats and horses. The ED is the chief executive and public face of Living Free, responsible for the organization's mission, strategy, and financial sustainability. This is a leadership, fundraising, and external-relations role.

 

While mid-to-senior level experience is preferred, Living Free is willing to consider candidates with at least three years of stable animal welfare or sanctuary operations experience. You should be able to hit the ground running with management of fundraising, major-donor relations, and grant strategy. You should also have excellent communication, public-speaking, and relationship-building skills; financial literacy and strategic budgeting experience and high integrity, sound judgment, and emotional maturity.

 

Important: Living Free is an anger free/positive reinforcement work environment and you must integrate this practice into your approach to management. This is a direct hire position with health benefits and a salary range of $71-85k, possibly higher, depending on skills and experience.

 

In addition, Living Free is willing to provide on-location housing during the after-hire probationary period. This position is open because the previous ED moved into the role of Living Free Board President.
