Volunteer
Be the reason a rescue finds hope.

At Living Free Animal Sanctuary, volunteers are the heartbeat of our mission. Whether it’s walking a shy dog, comforting a senior cat, mucking stalls, or lending a hand at events, every hour you give changes lives — for animals and for people.

No matter your skills or experience, there’s a place for you here.

Kennel
Kennel volunteers help keep our dogs’ spaces clean by refreshing rooms, bedding, and bowls. Volunteers also walk dogs and provide socialization, exercise, and companionship while they wait for their forever homes.

Cattery
Cattery volunteers help create a calm, clean environment for our cats while providing gentle socialization. This role focuses on spending quiet time with cats, especially shy or reserved ones, as well as assisting with cleaning and care.

Stables
Stables volunteers help care for our horses by mucking stalls and keeping the barn clean and safe. Volunteers may also assist with grooming and taking horses for walks. This is a physical, outdoor role, and training is provided.

Maintenance
Maintenance volunteers help keep the sanctuary safe and welcoming through tasks like raking, tree trimming, and general tidying of the grounds. This is a hands-on, outdoor role that makes a big impact on daily operations.
